Remix NCBL Week 4 Fixtures & Reviews – Group A
Written by pegasusbigboss on July 2, 2008 – 3:16 am -Here are the fixtures & prediction for Week 4 (6 July 2008) games for Group A. Matches will be played in Court B, Pusat Rekreasi JKKK Balakong, Selangor.
Note – Game time has been changed. This post has been edited to reflect the changes.
8.00 AM – Prinze vs. Titan
Two of the league’s youngest team will battle it out to make a stand in the tournament. Prinze has one win so far, and would go all out to grab another win to avoid the last spot.
Titan’s campaign so far has been a good tournament experience, but with 0 wins so far, they are looking to break their losing streak and this game should be their chance to do so.
The games should be a balanced battle between the 2 minnows, and I would pick Prinze out for the win given their good scoring record per game against the Group A giants Scorekeys and Pegasus.
My Prediction – Prinze will win by around 10 points.
9.30 AM – Cocoro vs. Pegasus *GAME OF THE WEEK*
A game not to be missed. The two undefeated group leaders will battle it out to take the throne of Group A.
Cocoro will have their full lineup for the game while Pegasus will be missing newly signed big center Thaufiq (John) due to a 2 week suspension. However, with the depth of the Pegasus’s bench, they shouldn’t have any problems to plug up the missing spot on both offense and defense.
With their trademark defense and lightning quick fast breaks, Pegasus will have Cocoro at their mercy in this game. Cocoro will need to get Pegasus into an early foul trouble and grab an early lead to dampen Pegasus’s game flow. If they do just that, this will turn into a close game. Otherwise, it’s a win in the bag for the Mighty Pegasus.
My Prediction – If Cocoro can grab an early lead, force Pegasus into foul trouble, the game will be decided in less than 10 points either way . Otherwise, it’s a Pegasus win by 10 points.
11.00 AM – Scorekeys vs. UBSA
Scorekeys is finding themselves in an unfamiliar territory as they are the 4th in the group standings. The past 2 tournaments have seen Scorekeys being in the top 3 most of the time, and they will look to get back to the comfort zone with this game. At the same time, Scorekeys will want to prove that they can stand on their own without their MABA trainees Yasier, Hilmi, Kadier, and Sasi.
UBSA has a good campaign so far with 2 wins, and will want to cement their quarterfinal berth early with a win here. UBSA will have to shoot consistently to win this one, especially against a much experienced Scorekeys side.
My Prediction – Scorekeys will win by 15 points.
12.30 PM – Valliers vs. ATM
Valliers had a very outing last week, losing to powerhouse Scorekeys by only 10 points. They stand a good chance to chalk up their first win this week, as long as the Twin Towers Zaidi and Alin are in the game.
ATM had a mixed campaign so far. 2 losses against Cocoro in Week 2 and a Week 3 against UBSA, and their sole win in the first week against Titan. ATM will want to snap their losing streak and thread back to qualify for the quarterfinals with a win this week. They will have to get Valliers’s Twin Towers in foul trouble, and deny them the low post entry passes to walk away with the win.
My Prediction – ATM win by 10 points.

Be mindful that the timing of the games has all been brought forward 2 hours earlier to make way for the Under-18 President Cup Finals
